A bit of work, plus a little luck

An informed community can powerfully support and influence what happens in its schools. But there is a lot to learn. We created Ed100 to establish a clear and meaningful way for community members (especially parent leaders and student leaders) to "school up" on the school system, whether individually or in groups.

In addition to earning the long-term opportunity to play an informed and influential role in their community, participants in Ed100 also earn the simple, shorter-term chance to win money for their PTA or other nonprofit organization that benefits education in California. The way to earn entries in Ed100 drawings is by taking lessons on Ed100. When participants complete all of the lessons in a chapter or participate in the Ed100 community online, they earn bonus entries for their school. When they complete all of the lessons, they personally earn the title of Ed100 Graduate, and can download a certificate of completion from their profile page.

We conduct these drawings to help create urgency. Learning about the education system is an ongoing task with no fixed deadline, which unfortunately means it's a task easily put off. The drawings create a "moment" that school communities can organize around.

Below are the lucky winners of past Ed100 drawings. If you are among them, congratulations! If not, keep working through lessons to boost your school's chances in the next one!

We officially announce winners ONLY through this page, but we may also mention it in our emails to our subscribers or social media, so please make sure to sign up and read them! Also, please follow us on Facebook and Twitter! If your school has won, contact [email protected] by the deadline (June 14) to claim the prize.
