Want to be part of a small team working on a project that matters? Looking for a meaningful team accomplishment for your resume? Want to learn more about how local, state, and federal government systems actually work, and how PTAs and citizen groups fit in? Apply now for the Ed100 Summer Fellowship!
This is a volunteer opportunity for people who care about public education in California and want to help make a difference. As a Fellow, your core work will be improving Ed100.org, a free resource that helps anyone understand the system so they can navigate it with confidence.
Yes, students can apply!
Our aim for this Fellowship is to deeply engage with a small, select team of students, parents, educators, and education-engaged individuals who want to learn, collaborate, and contribute.
Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis. We’re looking for strong writing skills, curiosity about education policy, and a readiness to roll up your sleeves. As a guideline, the expectation is about 120 hours between early June and mid-August. Fellows will work together (remotely, in rotating pairs) to review and refine Ed100’s lessons, blog posts, and other content for the coming school year and beyond.
Scheduling will be flexible to make room for vacations and other commitments. Under the guidance of Jeff Camp, Ed100’s founder and editor, Fellows will help update lessons with the latest research and best-available data — and find ways to make them even more relevant, understandable, compelling and shareable.
