OK, Ed100 community, we need your help. Thanks to a grant from the Stuart Foundation and the Kabcenell Foundation, we are adding a new position to the Ed100 crew: Ed100 Outreach Coordinator. The purpose of this crucial role is to support the work of PTAs, school districts and non-profit organizations as they use Ed100 to build informed school communities throughout the state of California. It’s a part-time, work-from-home role with flexible hours and a big vision. Please share this post to help us find just the right person with just the right skills.
Ed100.org, a non-profit program, is looking to expand its impact by systematically involving more of California’s school communities. To accomplish this, we are adding a new contract position to focus on outreach. This position is part-time, 24 flexible hours per week. There is no physical office.
There is tremendous leadership potential in school communities, most of it undeveloped. Ed100.org is a free non-profit resource that supports California school communities in their efforts to develop that potential. Used by PTAs, school districts and community organizations, Ed100 provides materials and programs that explain the system plainly in English and Spanish so that parents, students, and community members can have a voice and an influence.
By using Ed100, school communities can support effective, informed conversations about decisions that matter for kids. Every week, thousands of individuals, including parents and students, visit Ed100 to find reliable answers to their questions. Our weekly email highlights new information in our blog. Hundreds have completed our online course, earning their certificate as Ed100 graduates.
We are a small team, including volunteers and students, working virtually in connection with people all over the state of California who care about building strong, well-informed school communities. Ed100 is a project under the fiscal sponsorship of Full Circle Fund, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
The core work of the Outreach Coordinator is communication and relationship development. Our ideal candidate has digital marketing savvy, a sense of fun, and a drive to make a difference in school communities.
